STRENGTHENING VOICES & MOBILZING SUPPORT

Kdei Karuna actively contributes to national and international networks in the fields of transitional justice, peacebuilding, gender justice, and Women, Peace and Security. Through these platforms, we share expertise, exchange good practices, and contribute to broader efforts for recognition, justice, and healing.

Beyond our network engagement, we work closely with line ministries, local authorities, and community leaders to ensure that survivors' needs remain visible and are reflected in the support available to them. At the same time, we strengthen the capacity of survivors themselves - building their confidence and skills to speak for their own needs, engage with decision-makers, and play an active role in shaping the processes that affect their lives.

ECCC Victim-Survivors Residual Function Working Group

Following the closure of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, Kdei Karuna is an active member of this working group, which brings together civil society organizations, Civil Party lawyers, and the ECCC to ensure that the needs of survivors remain central during the tribunal's residual phase. The group's mandate covers intergenerational dialogue, history education, memorialization, trauma healing, and the recognition of survivors' experiences. Kdei Karuna has served as a member of the Secretariat, facilitating bi-monthly coordination meetings and contributing to the group's shared initiatives.

Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC) Peace Working Group

As a member of Cambodia's leading NGO coordination body, bringing together nearly 200 civil society organizations, Kdei Karuna actively contributes to the CCC Peace Working Group - sharing strategic input on peace promotion, practical experience in community dialogue, and oral history methodologies with a broader network of civil society actors working across Cambodia.

NGO-CEDAW

As a full member of Cambodia's leading coalition dedicated to monitoring and promoting the implementation of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, Kdei Karuna contributes to collective efforts on gender equality, gender justice, and the rights of women, girls, and marginalised communities across Cambodia.

International Coalition of Sites of Conscience

As a member of the only global network connecting historic sites, museums, and memory initiatives, Kdei Karuna contributes to an international community committed to preserving memory, promoting truth, and pursuing justice. The Coalition brings together organizations worldwide that transform the lessons of the past into action for human rights today - a mission that closely reflects KdK's own approach to memory work and transitional justice in Cambodia.

Faith to Action Network

As a member of this southern-led global interfaith network, Kdei Karuna engages with actors across Asia and worldwide to promote gender justice, peaceful coexistence, and inclusive communities. Faith to Action Network brings together more than 215 member and partner institutions in 38 countries, mobilizing faith communities as active contributors to social change.

Women, Peace and Security Working Group

Kdei Karuna is joining a growing network of Cambodian civil society organizations committed to strengthening the role of women in peace processes and conflict prevention. In a first step toward deeper collaboration, Kdei Karuna recently participated in a sharing session on the Women, Peace and Security agenda organized by Women Peace Makers, bringing together 15 civil society organizations to exchange insights and strengthen joint initiatives at community level.  (coming soon)
